The Third Generation Takes Responsibility at SCHMEES!<\/h3><\/div>

In November 1961, Sigrid and Dieter Schmees founded our company. During the 1990s and 2000s, it was gradually handed over to their children, Susanne Schmees-Besgen and Clemens Schmees. Together, they developed and led the foundry as the second generation of the family.<\/p>\n

This family tradition is now continuing into the third generation.<\/p>\n

With great pride and joy, we are pleased to announce that Julia Eich, daughter of Clemens Schmees, will be appointed Managing Director of SCHMEES holding, effective January 1, 2026. She will then lead the family holding company together with Clemens Schmees.<\/p>\n

Julia will turn 44 in April. She studied Business Administration and brings 20 years of commercial professional experience from three different business law firms.<\/p>\n

We are confident that she will be a great asset to our company and will carry on the succession in our spirit and in line with the values of her parents.<\/p>\n<\/div>

With our new division SCHMEES defence, we have expanded our portfolio and have recently begun supplying the German Armed Forces. After nearly eight years of preparation, our plant in Langenfeld is now also producing protective cladding and door hinges for armored vehicles. Our proprietary brand Seculloy\u00ae was specially developed to protect vehicles, vehicle components, and buildings against ballistic threats.<\/p>\n

In doing so, we build on our decades of experience as a stainless steel foundry. Whether sophisticated works of art or technical components, our expertise in materials, processes, and quality forms the foundation of every new project.<\/p>\n<\/div>

It is particularly important to us to act responsibly. Our production is based entirely on scrap metal, which is 100 percent recycled. In this way, we combine sustainability with the highest level of precision.<\/p>\n

Another Masterpiece by SCHMEES art Attracts Worldwide Attention!<\/h1><\/div>

An eight-meter-high, 35-ton stainless steel sculpture by the renowned artist Tony Cragg now adorns the new district One Bangkok in the Thai capital Bangkok. The impressive artwork \u201cIt is, it isn\u2019t\u201d was created for the visionary urban development project by Frasers Property and blends perfectly into its modern surroundings.<\/p>\n

Created in 10,000 working hours, the sculpture consists of seven mirror-polished segments that were precisely welded together. Despite challenges such as the long overseas shipment and monsoon rain during installation, the project was completed on schedule. Tony Cragg was delighted:<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a fantastic day \u2013 everything worked perfectly. Thank you, guys!\u201d<\/p>\n

This masterpiece once again demonstrates the outstanding craftsmanship of SCHMEES art and proves that even the greatest challenges can be mastered with passion and precision. We are proud of our team and look forward to many more exciting projects!<\/p>\n<\/div>
